The Incoterms rules are internationally recognized standardized terms reflecting business practice in the allocation of tasks, costs and risks in international sales contracts; The ICC has just published the latest version of these rules, Incoterms 2010. The aim of the rules is to facilitate the conduct of global trade by providing clear definitions of the parties’ respective obligations, thereby reducing the risk of legal complications.
Incoterms are set of operational rules to be applied in everyday use to facilitate international trade contracts and growth in international trade business, which can only be of benefit to all participants who wish to be fit for international trade.

Zahoor Dattu brings with him over 34 years of trade finance expertise.
A highly respected and well liked professional in business circles and the bankers fraternity, Zahoor is a lively speaker who enjoys sharing his rich experiences.
Starting his career in 1973 with Central Bank of India, Bombay, Zahoor moved to ANZ Grindlays Bank Dubai, in 1980 he has since held senior posts with ANZ Grindlays Bank, Mashreq and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank where he was Head of Trade Finance.
A M.Com. from Bombay University, Zahoor is a Certified Documentary Credit Specialist from the IFS (Institute of Financial Services) and IFSA (International Financial Services Association).
Zahoor was a faculty at Mashreq Learning Centre and is regularly invited to speak at the Emirates Institute of Banking and Financial Studies, UAE.
A contributing Editor to LC Monitor, a trade finance journal published from Canada, Zahoor’s articles on trade finance frequently appear in various International Magazines. He is also a founder member of the Informal Trade finance Working Group in the Emirates. Mr. Zahoor N. Dattu is the Principal Consultant of Bastaki Management Consultancy, which specializes in giving trade services advice to importers, exporters, and the banks, writing policies and procedures on trade finance, and evaluating front-end systems.
